It's situated directly from the beach on the outskirts of the popular and lively town of Puerto Banus. The resort is surrounded by beautifully maintained gardens and has panoramic views of the Mediterranean Sea. All the family will be kept entertained with a mini-golf course, a giant sized chess set and the younger ones will have great fun in the kid's club - they even have their own special evening full of games, pizza and movies. Enjoy your breakfast, lunch and dinner in The Solera Restaurant where a range of international and typical Andalucian dishes are served. Or perhaps a refreshing cocktail on the terrace. If you wish to eat at home, The Marketplace will take care of all your shopping needs. Work off the, lovely food wth a visit to the gym and fitness center. Playa Andaluza's accommodation consists of 2 and 3 bedroom apartments. All the luxury apartments have been designed in typical Spanish style utilising Andalucian features and furnishings. Each apartment has its own private balcony with views over the grounds, the beach and the Mediterranean sea. A perfect personal space for enjoying a outdoor dining and relaxing.

The Marketplace can supply you with all the produce you need enabling you to rustle up a family meal in the well-equipped kitchen. The handy on-site shop also stocks a range of wine, beer and spirits plus beach clothes and other necessities along with snacks, cold drinks and ice cream.

After enjoying a meal on the private balcony, relax in the comfy lounge watching a DVD on the flat screen TVs and a choice of DVDs are available. Free WiFi is available throughout the resort and the apartment.

THE AREA

Marriott’s Playa Andaluza resort is located close to Puerto Banus, a popular and lively resort town on the Costa del Sol. It's also close to Estepona town where you can enjoy an evening walk along the palm-lined promenade that runs next to the beach. Pop in to one of the beach side chiringuitos (beach bars) or delve deeper into the backstreets of the white-washed old town to experience authentic Spanish restaurants and bars.

At the end of the Paseo Maratimo (promenade) you come to the Puerto Deportivo (marina) and fishing port with an array of boats - from super yachts to typical fishing vessels. The marina is surrounded by a wide variety of bars and restaurants and late night disco bars for the youngsters. There is a tourist market in the port on Sunday mornings.

Among many of the unique attractions in Estepona is the Orchidarium Estepona. An eye-catching structure built over two levels separated by a beautiful bamboo forest. The Orchidarium houses a lake, a 15 meter waterfall and three glass domes housing a huge variety of orchids and other tropical plants.

For those wishing to experience some of the history of the area, a trip to the hill town of Ronda (the city of dreams)is well worth a visit, following in the footsteps of Hemmingway and Orson Wells. Visit the oldest bullring in Spain with its intriguing bullfighting museum. Savour authentic tapas in the backstreet bars and look over the dizzingly high gorge separating the old town from the new.

For the more adventurous family members lakes in Ardales where you can swim and hire kayaks and visit the Camino del Rey (the King’s Walkway). There are a number of golf courses close to the resort, namely La Resina, El Paraiso and Flamingos Golf.
